BEYOND THE LABELS

Entrepreneur, Student, Leader, Dancer, Nature Enthusiast. These are just some of the labels that shape my identity. However, those six words only paint a partial picture of who I am. I am a product of my genetics, experiences, and connections to others. In other words, my means include who I am, what I know, and who I know. My means shape my identity, my passions, and the impact I can and want to make. Read more to learn more about my means!

Education Inside and Outside the Classroom

Most recently, I attended a rigorous college preparatory high school. I took classes ranging from Biblical Prophets to Comparative Government to Biology. However, less traditional learning has taken place outside of the classroom.
I worked at my local Hebrew School for 5 years in 1st grade and 4th grade classrooms. I learned how to manage a class, how to cater to individual students and needs while ensuring the rest of the class is on task. I learned how to motivate a student who is tired from attending secular school for the past 6 hours and wants to go home. I learned creative and interactive ways of presenting material, and I learned how to set myself up to be respected and loved by the students and parents.

I have also been President of 3 Non-Profit organizations, two of which a team and I started. One organization that a group of girls and I started is called Embrace, a movement where women are dedicated to lifting each other up while at the same time practicing their own self-love. This gave me leadership skills and informed the type of leader I want to be. I learned to work with others, to delegate work, and how to engage with the community in such a way that it wants to support you and your mission.

Who I Know

My connections include people in my Jewish community, relationships I've built with local elementary schools running arts programs when funding was cut, women celebrities in support of women's empowerment that supported Embrace, directors and choreographers I have worked with over the years, and high school teachers that know and support me. This is only a sample of the people I have surrounded myself with and the people who shape what I have.
